About us
Solidari’Terre is a humanitarian association which aims to provide concrete and lasting help to communities in difficulty. The initiative was born in 1993 under the name “Centrale Sup de Co Humanitaire” and changed its name in 2001 to become Solidari’Terre.
It draws its members and its strengths from the emlyon business school and the Ecole Centrale de Lyon. Two campuses, two complementary training courses, for more exchanges, more openness and more skills. Each year, a team of committed and competent students respond to the mission that Solidari’Terre has set for itself.
We carry out international solidarity actions, national actions, but also local actions in the Lyon area. Solidari’Terre now has nearly 30 years of experience in student humanitarian aid, which allows us to build coherent projects that always better meet the needs of those we help.
All the members of Solidari’Terre are entirely voluntary. Thus, 100% of your donations are devoted to our projects.

How do we finance these projects?
For each of our international solidarity missions, all of the funds raised are donated to the local NGO / association with which we work. This is responsible for purchasing the raw materials and tools required by students for the successful completion of their mission. Indeed, the costs of travel, accommodation and catering remain the responsibility of the volunteers.
Different sources of funding are mobilized by each group:
- Bagging in the Lyon region supermarkets
- Alternative income: sales of cakes, bracelets during paid events in our schools or in the city of Lyon, etc …
- Crowdfunding, so that anyone wishing to support our missions can do so easily
- Support for businesses through financial and / or in-kind donations (skills sponsorship, product donations, logistical assistance, financial contribution).
