The Project
Fadenyo Kope is a farm of about 100 inhabitants, in the canton of Ainè, 260 km northeast of Lomé. We are doing this in partnership with AJSED, a Togolese association supporting underprivileged children.
Our goal is to rebuild a 6-class primary school and library so that children can go to school all year round, regardless of the weather. Indeed, the current school is in a very degraded state and does not allow students to study during the rainy season or when there is bad weather. The roof of the school will be equipped with solar panels that will illuminate the classrooms at nightfall (around 6 p.m., all year round). Schoolchildren will be able to do their homework in the evening after school. Currently, children do their homework with a flashlight on the floor.
