In this time of unprecedented health crisis, we present 3 solidarity initiatives per week to help those in need, to whom you are invited to participate without moderation!

Without further ado, here are the ones of this week…

Enpremièreligne is a self-help network that was launched in mid-March to help people on the front lines of the fight against coronavirus.

This site connects people “on the front line” who risk their health, give their energy 15 hours a day to save lives with people volunteering to help them. The goal is to allow them not to worry about who will be looking after their children or whether there will be enough to eat at home when they get home.

If you feel that you are a person capable of helping, fill out the form to register, if someone near you needs help, you will be put in contact by email so that you can help them as best you can.

Be careful, you can only volunteer if you are young (under 60) and healthy.

The association Entourage, which advocates the creation of social ties with the homeless, adapts in these special and unprecedented times, and proposes to go on the airwaves to transmit good ones and to continue to create links with people on the street.

Through frequent phone calls, it is a question of creating a small network around a person in a precarious situation and all the more isolated in this period of confinement.

How does it work? 2 to 3 external volunteers per team, called “surrounders”, each regularly call the person to surround in order to get to know each other and then potentially build a real relationship and share with each other a little human warmth! These surrounders are supervised by a “band leader” already experienced in the association with the world of the street. This network is not limited to a simple call, it aims to constitute an “entourage”, through additional videoconferencing or group calls if the computer means of all allow, but above all by gathering around a real coffee or dinner as soon as the end of the confinement!

For those who remained confined to Lyon, there was today a blood drive at the town hall of the 8th. It was possible to make an appointment, but (badly) fortunately all the slots were reserved! Stay connected there will surely be more!
