The Project
Las Lomitas, a small town in the province of Formosa in northern Argentina. Since 2015, in partnership with the NGO La Croix du Sud, we have been helping the Wichis community.
In Las Lomitas, this Native American community is strongly affected by Chagas disease. Every year, thousands of people are infected with it. Unfortunately, there is still no vaccine to cure or prevent the spread of the disease. Sometimes fatal, Chagal’s disease is transmitted by bedbugs that infest the walls of their traditional homes, made of straw and clay.
Also, with each edition, we build 3 brick houses to prevent the proliferation of bedbugs. In the long run, we want to eradicate Chagas disease among the Wichis and thus offer them better living conditions.
